Kylie Boggs

THEATRE DIRECTOR

Kylie graduated magna cum laude with her Honors B.S. in Speech Language Pathology and her M.A. in Linguistics & Cognitive Science, both from the University of Delaware. Her background in language, coupled with her minors in anthropology and theater performance, underscores her interdisciplinary approach to the arts and education. She aims to integrate her academic achievements with her creative pursuits, and recently served as a research consultant with Harvard University investigating the alignment of speech to gesture.

Kylie Boggs is a seasoned music director, choreographer, theatre teacher, and performer with a global perspective of the arts. As a World Scholar at the University of Delaware, she traveled to Spain, New Zealand, Japan, and Australia during her studies of language and the humanities. Throughout her travels, she has studied voice with Gudrún Ólafsdóttir, trained in Latin Dance with María-Jesús Peces Barba, performed in The Auckland War Memorial Museum, researched indigenous languages, and guided cohorts of undergraduates in their global studies. Kylie's extensive experience in music direction, choreography, performance, and teaching spans across various domains, from theater to academia. Her global perspective, shaped by her travels and studies, adds depth to her understanding of the arts and enriches her work as a director and educator.

In addition to being a director at PPAC, Kylie is also a teacher with DramaKids Delaware, teaching after-school drama classes during the week in the Appoquinimink School District. Additionally, Kylie is the Summer Camp Music Director for The Smyrna Opera House, the Summer Camp Painting Lead for The Everett Theatre, a substitute dancer teacher for CKB Studio, and a contracted music director, artistic director, combat coordinator, and choreographer at various locations, including The Milburn Stone Theatre at Cecil College.
