Kathryn Corbino

VOICE INSTRUCTOR

Kathryn Corbino is a graduate of Westminster Choir College with a Master of Music in Voice Pedagogy and Vocal Performance. Prior to attending Westminster Choir College, Kathryn earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Vocal Performance from West Chester University in Pennsylvania.

Performance and teaching are two of Kathryn’s biggest passions. Her teaching style focuses on positive student connection, building a healthy singing voice, and using achievable steps to build confidence and bring singers closer to their goals. By providing a tailored routine for each student, they will be able to grow their talents and learn to enjoy the practice and performance of music.

Kathryn looks forward to meeting each student where they are in their musical journey, making sure they have fun and feel safe in an environment where mistakes are exciting. She believes that music builds skills that can be used both inside and outside of lessons and provides an expressive outlet for everyone.

As a lyric soprano, Kathryn has experience has both an oratorio soloist and opera singer in roles such as Pamina in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Suor Dolcina in Puccini’s Sour Angelica, and Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan tutte. She has performed with choirs as a soprano soloist in pieces such as Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610, Finzi’s In Terra Pax, and Vivaldi’s Gloria. Kathryn attended the 2017 and 2018 NATS vocal competitions, placing 1st and 2nd respectively. She has participated in programs including Si Parla, Si Canta and CoOPERAtive, which have broadened her musicality, language skills, and performance techniques. She looks forward to learning more of her ever-growing list of repertoire and performing them in the coming years.
