Class Descriptions

  • Dance technique

    • Learn technique underlying basic dance movements along with terminology and what makes a dancer stand out among movers. This class is for movers who wish to better understand the technical aspects of dance drawing from ballet, theatre dance and Kinesiology roots.

    • 6/24, 7/1, 7/8, 7/15, 7/29, 8/5 from 7 PM - 8 PM.

  • Tap technique

    • This class is a continuation of the Summer 2025 Tap Class. Focusing on Classical and Hoofing Tap styles, students will learn how to tap with more efficiency and precision. Tap is music with one’s feet, learn to make your feet sing!

    • 6/24, 7/1, 7/8, 7/15, 7/29, 8/5 from 8 PM- 9 PM.

  • Triple Threat

    • With the introduction of West Side Story and A Chorus Line, it became standard for actors to hone their skills as actors, singers and dancers. The term Triple Threat refers to an actor who is an expert at combining these skills. This class trains actors to merge these skills into one skill rather than separate abilities. From our persective, this is the most effective class a young actor can take.

    • July 6-7, 6:30 - 7:30 PM

  • Acting on Camera: Film Short 1

    • This class will create a short film (10 minutes or less with the characters involved in more than one scene/sequence. The completed film will be premiered at PPAC at the end of the summer. Previous on-camera experience is preferred but not required.

    • June 28-30, 6 PM to 9 PM

  • Acting on Camera: Film Short 1

    • This class will create a short film (10 minutes or less with the characters involved in more than one scene/sequence. The completed film will be premiered at PPAC at the end of the summer. Previous on-camera experience is preferred but not required.

    • Aug. 2-4, 6 PM to 9 PM

  • Audition Prep

    • This class is for Middle and High School students who are eager for a more professional polish to their audition skills. Come with two 16-32 bar cuts of your best audition songs and a 1-minute monologue.

    • July 27-28, 6 PM to 9 PM

Attendance

  • Students are expected to attend all sessions other than conflicts disclosed at registration.

  • Students are expected to exhibit mature, respectful, and attentive behavior at all times during rehearsals, meal breaks, and performances.
