Class Descriptions
Triple Threat Level 1 (Grades K-2, 1 hour per week) - Builds the groundwork for combining skills by using gross motor skills activities to teach spatial reasoning, weight shifts, coordination, musical downbeat, and rhythms to choreography and blocking.
Triple Threat Level 3 (Grades 2-5, 1 hour per week) - Musical theatre dance skills applied to musical phrasing, independent application such as rounds and canons with understanding the impact of dramatic choices.
Triple Threat Level 5 (Grades 5-8, 2 hours per week) - Formal ballet/musical theatre dance techniques with hearing and holding harmonies, understanding who to break down a character to fully embody the character both physically and emotionally.
Triple Threat Elite (Grades 8-12, 4 hours per week, audition required) - Trains multiple dance styles to build the actor’s understanding of musical theatre techniques. Recitative is added to understanding how to work with a score for timing, intention and the composer’s intentions.
Drama (Grades 6-12, 1 hour per week) - Acting techniques from the ground up. Finding reality is the actor’s job, learning how to be real on stage without adding caricature.
Film Acting (Grades 6-12, 1 hour per week) - Acting on camera requires different acting techniques to be effective in this medium. Video submissions are used almost exclusively now to book even stage productions; thus, understanding how to act on camera is more important than ever before.
